The terms “you,” “your,” and “yours” refer to the customer/purchaser utilizing our Site. The terms “Company,” “Rudder,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Rudder, Inc. This Privacy Policy is governed by our Terms of Use. By using the Site, you consent to the data practices prescribed in this statement. We may periodically make changes to this Privacy Policy that we will include on this page at any time. Although we will attempt to notify you of changes to our policy via our website or email, it is your responsibility to review this Privacy Policy frequently and remain informed about any changes to it, so we encourage you to visit this page often.

WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED?

“Personally Identifiable Information” means any information that may be used to identify an individual, including, but not limited to, a user ID, a first and last name, home or other physical address, an email address, phone number or other contact information, whether at work or at home, that is entered at registration or otherwise into a user’s profile. Our primary goal in collecting Personally Identifiable Information is to provide you with a friendly, customized, and efficient experience. We only collect Personally Identifiable Information that is relevant to the purpose of our Site. We do not process this information in a way that is incompatible with the purpose for which it has been collected or subsequently authorized by you.     • We may receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with us. We may receive and record certain "traffic data" on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, Rudder cookie information, the transactions you conduct on our Site, your communications with Rudder and our Site and the page you requested. We use this traffic data to help diagnose problems with our servers, analyze trends and administer the Site.

Rudder and its affiliates may use your Personally Identifiable Information to provide you with Rudder product information, to support the Service offered on the Site, to notify you of technical updates or changes to this Privacy Policy or other policies (by posting the updates or changes to the site), or to deliver other customer services.

IS THE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION SHARED OR DISCLOSED?

Rudder does not rent or sell Personally Identifiable Information to third parties. Personally Identifiable Information is used to complete and support your use of the Site and the Service and to comply with any requirements of law. Rudder may share Personally Identifiable Information with third parties only as described below:

  • Required by Law; Protection of Rudder and Others: Rudder may disclose Personally Identifiable Information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Rudder or its affiliates or the Site; (2) protect and defend the rights, property or safety of Rudder, our employees and contractors, our users or others; (3) act in urgent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of Rudder, its web sites or the public; (4) enforce or apply our Terms of Use and other agreements. The foregoing includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
  • Providing our Service: We depend upon third party service providers to license data to us and to provide other services to Rudder necessary for the provision of the Service. For example, in order to provide you with our Service, we may disclose your username and passwords specific to third party web sites, such as web sites operated by a credit card company or a bank and to third party service providers that facilitate the Service’s interactions with such credit card companies or banks, in order to obtain the information that you requested be aggregated and displayed through our Site. When you register for our Service, you are deemed to authorize disclosures by us to provide the Service.
  • Bankruptcy; Change of Control: If Rudder should ever file for bankruptcy or be acquired by another company, whether by merger, stock transfer, or sale of assets, we may sell or otherwise transfer control of the information you provide to us on the Site, including the Personally Identifiable Information, to a third party or share your Personally Identifiable Information with any company with whom we merge or to whom we sell ourselves or our assets.
  • User Consent; Opt-Out Rights: Except as set forth above, so long as you have provided your email address to us, you will be notified when your Personally Identifiable Information may be shared with third parties or used for a purpose incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected, and you will be able to prevent the sharing of this information by opting out.
  • Social Sharing: Rudder allows other users to browse comments, questions or other entries that you have submitted or commented on in one or more forums provided by Rudder. None of your Personally Identifiable Information will be displayed in connection with the use of such forums, although you will not be able to remove any posted content without the assistance of the Company. Rudder may choose to post this data on other site features in the future.
  • Tell A Friend: Any function provided by Rudder whereby you may recommend the Site to a friend may identify you by username or email address when you send email through the Site.

We reserve the right to share aggregated information with third parties in which case personal information about you will never be disclosed.

IS THE INFORMATION SECURE?

The security of Personally Identifiable Information is a priority for us. We protect this information by maintaining physical safeguards, such as secure areas in buildings; electronic safeguards, such as passwords and encryption; and procedural safeguards, such as customer authentication procedures, all in accordance with applicable law. We train our employees in the proper handling of personal information; we also limit employee access to this information to those employees with a business need for access and we enforce employee responsibilities through appropriate disciplinary processes. The Rudder database is physically protected at a secure, third party site and is monitored by security personnel twenty-four hours a day. Only authorized personnel can access the data center, and they must submit to multiple forms of identification including biometric authentication.

Your Rudder account information is protected by your account password for your privacy and security. You need to work to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer by logging off once you have finished using a shared computer.

LINKS TO OTHER SITES

You should be aware that this Privacy Policy applies only to the Company’s Site. Importantly, it does not apply to any other websites to which a link may be provided as part of the Site. We cannot control and are not responsible for the actions of third parties operating such sites. You should not take the existence of an affiliation with, or a link from, the Site to any such other website to mean that it has a privacy policy similar to this one. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

DOES YOUR SITE USE COOKIES?

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser in your computer when you visit our Site. We use cookies to improve our Site and make it easier to use.
